Artist Biography:

Corin Ford Forrester is an emerging photographic artist with a background in Science (Bsc. University of Guelph 1999).  In 2006 she studied traditional black and white photography at the Haliburton School of the Arts where she received the highest standing in the Sir Sanford Fleming College Photo Arts program.  Since that time she has exhibited and sold her work in numerous festivals and galleries in the Kawarthas, where she is based, and in Toronto and Ottawa. 

In the spring of 2009 she was selected to exhibit work in the Eastern Ontario Artists Market Place at Toronto’s One of A Kind Show. The same year her image Legacy III was awarded the grand prize in the environmental photography exhibition at the Colorado Environmental Film Festival.  Legacy VII was published in the Canadian Journal of Midwifery Research and Practice in the fall of 2010 in an article about the health effects of the uranium cycle on human human health. 

In 2012 the work In Harmony was selected to be a part of the Triennial Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Peterborough.  While, in April of 2013 Corin had a solo exhibition in the highly successful SPARK Photography festival in Peterborough, ON.

Corin uses digital photography techniques to blend black and white images of the human form with landscapes both natural and manmade. Her work often explores the tremendous impact that human beings have on the planet, as well the connection between human beings and the natural world.
